Double Birthday... What does it Mean?

Our first day in Hilton Head was Morgan's birthday. We started the day off right by going to Chef David's new restaurant, Roastfish & Cornbread. Mom and I split a platter that consisted of scallops, shrimp, oysters, tilapia, sweet potato corn bread, hush puppies, and fried okra. After that we decided to head to Svannah, GA to walk around and hopefully get some Paula Deen's cooking for dinner.
With a little help we found the restaurant, and with some serious luck made reservations for 6PM. Usually people are lined up as soon as they start taking reservations in the morning to get a table.
While we waited for our reservation we walked around and explored some of the shops in the area. The Paris Market had to be my favorite with it's unique blend of antiques, bones and bug paperweights, to jewelry it was somewhere I could see myself spending a good deal of money.
We also went for a walk down by the waterfront enjoying the pleasant weather.
We took in a few more of the sights.
I saw an interesting sign on panhandling.
Finally, it was time to hit it up buffet style. I'm sure all of this was made with at the very least a pound of butter.
My first plate from the buffet.
Nom nom nom nom.
For dessert I went with a southern favorite; key lime pie.
On our last day we headed to the Sea Trawler for our final birthday dinner.
My brother turned 27 and I turned 23.
This was our favorite restaurant of the weekend with Paula Deen falling into a close second.

This was probably one of the best birthdays I've ever had. Full of food and good times with my family.

TTV Photos from HHI

I love how these images are all backwards and have specks of dust in them. There is something so fun to me about this type of photography. I used a DLR, pringles tube with the bottom cut out, tape, and my Nikon digital SLR.

It even makes taking a photo of a fridge that much more interesting to me.

I got My Crabs on Hilton Head Island

All you can eat crab legs.
They were awesome and only $25.
I ate about two plates worth, and the second plate had just as much as this one.

I Defeated Paula Deen's Buffet

That. Was. So. Awesome.
Notice that it took me just a little under 20 minutes to consume the food on my plate.
VICTORY!!!!
After that I got another small plate and then enjoyed a tasty slice of Paula's amazing key lime pie. This was a perfect meal to celebrate both mine and my brother's birthdays.

Paula Deen is the Butter Queen of My Heart

I love Paula's restaurant, Lady and Sons. I of course had to get the buffet (which also happened to be the cheapest entree on the menu). There was macaroni and cheese, lima beans, black eyed peas, mashed potatoes, creamed corn, ribs, pork chops, fried chicken, rice and sausage, shrimp cooked with corn and sausage, green beans, and rolls. They also had a salad bar but I didn't bother with it.

Phrenology Head

I wanted to get this for my birthday but the silly thing was $93. I'm going to look on Amazon when I get home.

Happiness is a Toasted Marshmellow

This sign is awesome. I wish it was hanging in my room.

The Little Girls Room

One of the only ladies only clubs I know besides the girl scouts.

Sharing is Caring

I figured I'd share my sunglasses with Berkeley so his eyes wouldn't have to deal with the harsh rays of the sun.

Berkeley rocking some New Shades

Morgan and Berkeley on the road to South Carolina.
Notice the sunglasses on both.

On the Road Again...

Me and my baby dog Berkeley on our way to HHI.
He's sad he doesn't have cool shades like mine.

Lounging in the Backseat

Douglas and Berkeley in the backseat on the drive to Hilton Head Island. Usually they have to ride in crates the entire way so I'm sure they enjoyed this a little.

I still Love Amazon.com

So much for my new DVD rack.
This thing is not only bent out of shape but broken too.
Returning it and looking around for something affordable now I guess.
