Quote of the Day: "I believe in manicures. I believe in overdressing. I believe in primping at leisure and wearing lipstick. I believe in pink. I believe that laughing is the best calorie burner. I believe in kissing; kissing a lot. I believe in being strong when everything seems to be going wrong. I believe happy girls are the prettiest girls. I believe that tomorrow is another day, and I believe in miracles." -Audrey Hepburn

NYC in July

I went to NYC from July 25 to July 28 and this is a little blog and some photos about my trip

I arrived late in the city that never sleeps and this was my first view of NYC for the weekend.

After I got settled and dressed to go out we went and had a few drinks at a bar near the apartment.

The next morning we had a lovely breakfast on their table. Kit and Tim informed me this was a big deal since it's usually covered in mail and other things.

After a tasty breakfast we started off on our day of walking around NYC; we started with the Brooklyn Bridge.

Pausing for a picture of me and with my favorite married person (Kit) was deemed necessary.

I also felt the need to take a somewhat artsy photo of the bridge.

Next was Grand Central Station. We ended up getting some gelato for a mid-afternoon snack .

We made our way into Central Park. Despite the size of it I was still reminded where I was.

In the park we saw this guy. There was also a guy dressed as the Captain Jack Sparrow and a little girl thought he was Captain Morgan from the rum with the same name. I'm glad to know some families have their priorities set when raising children.

We went on a specific mission to find this place which included looking it up on Tim's iPhone. Yes, I took an adorable photo of Kit and Tim infront of the L-O-V-E statue. Wouldn't you?

We took one of me with the statue as well before starting on our way back to the apartment. When we got off the subway we saw a lady with a dog in a purse. If this wasn't bad enough when the lady was using the turnstyle her dog got smacked in the face with the bar.

The next day we went to Chinatown and were invited into a basement for quality backroom purses. YAY Chanel!

We then went walking all over NYC from Time Square back all the way to Chinatown... very dumb.

BROADWAY!!!!

We went to see Phantom of the Opera!!!! My favorite musical since I knew what musicals were.

I was so excited I took a picture of the stage.

The three of us waiting for it to start.... OMG I was so excited I almost cried during every song.

After an amazing weekend it was finally time to go. Kit and I got a Nathan's hotdog for lunch before taking me on the subway to the train station. These shoes were outside their apartment the entire time I was there. We constantly questioned where the hooker who owned them was. Our final theory: she's at the bottom of the river somewhere.
